So true man! and if youre just talking about the visual aspect, most women arent even attracted to the pulsating, massive body of a bodybuilder, ive never met any girl who doesnt think thats disgusting. As a male, i appreciate all the time dedication and hours in the gym to acheive that body, but i do not wish it for myself. MMA also embraces the epitome of periodizing your workouts, which in combination with a workout and cardio routine, produces the best results by constantly shocking the body with new and different movements and exercises. MMA is definitely the future :)

Awesome article man! so many people overlook squats because theyre a pain in the butt to do, ive seen so many people with massive upper bodies and no leg strength. but what they also dont realize is that just doing squats will naturally increase their testosterone level as well, making all their other workouts more effective. The magic of squats :)

Agreed that the over 40 club have a few more struggles then their younger generation. I struggle with high cholesterol and yet I am a pretty active person. I am not grossly over weight, currently weighing in at 128 at 5'3" but like to maintain right around 115 to 118. The last few pounds I am trying to lose from winter have been a bit of a struggle even though I'm moderately to pretty active.. bike rides every evening with kids at 7 and I have a huge yard that I am constantly maintaining. The hard part for me is I love food and have a hard time parting with things like bacon, eggs, breads, potatoes, etc.. all those things not necessarily always great for you little lone a diet.. What I would like to know is if there is a vitamin or supplement that I can take that would help with lowering bad cholesterol so I don't necessarily have to give up all the greats in life and one that would maybe boost metabolism some to give me an edge on the last 10 pounds...

Hyperstrike maps out the plan for you to reach your goals. The exercise videos and written descriptions make it very easy to learn new exercises and learn how to do exercises you know even better. The meal plan take all of the guess work out of eating right. Plus, since your meals are planned ahead of time you are less likely to just grab something that isn't very good for you.

I have been very impressed by Hyperstrike.

Random exercises on random days will probably produce random results.

High intensity circuit training with sub maximal weight will not make you strong.

Most Crossfitters care more about decreasing the time of the work out than they do about the weights they work out with.

Many works outs don't even take as long as 8 minute abs.

That being said, it is better for you than watching TV. However, if your job requires a high level of fitness to stay alive (ie military adn law enforcement) it would be a good idea to put more thought and planning into your workout program.

Jiu jitsu is also an awesome workout. It is also a lot of fun. You don't realize how hard you are working because it is so much fun.

- I have made thousands of posts on the Health and Fitness field and have trained a wide variety of people.

I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and I LOVE weight lifting and all aspects of the Health and Fitness Industry, I must say I personally believe in all the above said, I use all the methods way before this was even posted and I must say it is VERY effecient just be sure to know these methods are for advanced users, never worry about super sets or drop setting, etc. until You have built your foundation first.
