When it comes to modern health and fitness, there are several people that will be ditching bodybuilding for fitness. For example, look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and the numbers of years he invested in being Mr. Olympia and all the body building techniques he perfected in his youth. As he got older he started to transfer over to general fitness leaving behind the large muscles that kept him at the gym for many hours a day. Once he got married and went into politics he simply maintains his exercise to support a healthy lifestyle.
What is it that attracts a body builder to their exercise routine? It is being the best at getting the mass and bulk out of the muscles you have on your body. It defines your muscles as you turn your body into a mass machine. In each workout, you will enhance all muscles to show their best pump. This is one of the reasons bodybuilders spend so much time in the gym. Chasing the pump can be addictive. But training this way gets boring and can be counterproductive to your overall health and fitness.
Ditching body building for fitness may be just the answer.
If you’re getting tired of a one dimensional workout, try swapping out the bodybuilding exercise routine for a total fitness workout routine. Fitness workouts are more attainable and easier to follow as you mature in the gym. Fitness focused workouts are something that fit easily into your daily schedule and even the eating habits become less of a challenge. Previously, you may have been eating a larger amount of protein and bland carbs, now your new diet will mainly deal with portion control. It also allows you to take a partner to share your exercise routines with on a weekly basis. It is easier to find someone to do fitness based exercise routines than to find a person to take on bodybuilding. The reason for this is the special lifestyle required to body build.
As mentioned ,diet and nutrition for fitness is also less of a hassle. The food needed for this particular diet is better balanced and less extreme. To keep the bulk on the body there are various types of dietary practices that are done, this is because the muscles need to be built and feed vitamins and nourishment. Training partners may not care for the outcomes of following a bodybuilding workout plan. Not everyone is looking for this type of muscle definition and size, but many people are looking to get fit.
When ditching bodybuilding for fitness, you are planning on what you will do for yourself in the future and how you will treat your body over time. What you will feed it and how often you will exercise it. It may take a little bit of time to make the transformation but once you get adjusted you will find a fitness routine that will become comfortable to you. Any form of exercise is good for your body so do not be afraid to try various types of fitness routines. You may be very surprised on what types of exercises that you do find enjoyable once you ditch bodybuilding.
