Did you ever dream the impossible, or what you thought was the impossible? What makes something seem impossible? Is it because it is so out of our reach at present that we cannot even imagine it coming into fruition? Or is it that it seems so overwhelming in the steps that need to be taken to get there?
Nothing worthwhile comes easy. This goes for our fitness goals as well. If you are a cardiovascular junkie, it is time to get moving on setting some goals that may seem outside of the realm of possibilities and dive into the life of a fitness enthusiast.
When exercise becomes mundane and routine, it is time to set a goal that you can strive for. This way it becomes exciting and challenging to see how far the body can stretch itself. Our mind is what stops us before our bodies are ready to. Giving that extra push can make all the difference in your enthusiasm and health of your fitness lifestyle. Reach for that that is challenging and both your body and your mind will stay focused and engaged. Too many times we become complacent in our exercise routine because quite frankly, it is easier. But once we decide to raise the bar for ourselves, suddenly the line is drawn in the sand and we are striving to cross over it.
Create a fitness challenge and write it down. Then write the steps necessary to get there. On a daily basis, remind yourself what your challenge is and then take steps to draw nearer to it. After all, when a challenge is laid out before us, most of us get a spark in our eyes and dig deeper to rise up to that challenge.
